Health and dental here is Manulife CoverMe. There are three plans: Flexcare if you are healthy, FollowMe if group benefits just ended, and Guaranteed Issue Enhanced if you need acceptance without a medical questionnaire.
Flexcare
Medically underwritten. DrugPlus, DentalPlus, or ComboPlus. Higher drug maximums if you qualify, and a lower rate when you are healthy. A pre-existing condition can be excluded, rated, or declined.
FollowMe
Guaranteed if you apply and pay within 90 days of group benefits ending. Eligible pre-existing conditions and current medications are covered. Four tiers: Basic, Enhanced, EnhancedPlus, and Premiere.
Guaranteed Issue Enhanced
No questionnaire and acceptance is guaranteed. Built for someone who does not qualify for Flexcare and missed the FollowMe window. Drug maximums are lower, about $2,500 a year, and the premium is higher for the cover.
